After losing cat Meddy and cat  Petey, we got some fecal test results back for cat Milo showing positive for Panleuk. Panleuk is an extremely deadly and horrific virus.

We took in a few babies this weekend. Introducing Milo and Meddy. They are happy to be clean, warm and cozy.

They were from a shelter in Indiana and @thecatcade lovingly gave them their best chance by rescuing them.

Sadly though, one baby didn’t make it. He fought hard but his little body was too weak. He’s not pictured here out of respect for him because the one photo we got was sad. We like to believe that Chester greeted him at the rainbow bridge.

As we foster babies for the first time since Chester’s passing, we are focusing on giving our love to these little ones by remembering how lucky we were. How lucky to know a love so pure. How lucky I was able to spend 12 years of my life getting to know my bff. My grief is just a strong as my love.  @hopeful_content said.

It hurts my heart to say that sweet Meddy passed away early this morning. Emotionally, I question what else I could have done for her. Rationally, I know we did everything possible. She wanted to live; she fought to live, but her little body was just too weak. I was able to tell her she was loved as she took her last breath, and I’m grateful that was the last thing she knew as she left this world. She’s joined her brother, and Chester, on the rainbow bridge.  @hopeful_content said.

We can safely assume that’s what led to the decline of Petey and Meddy.  Milo is doing well right now and I am determined to keep it that way.
