Kitty Was Rescued From The Brink Of Death And Is Now An Internet Sensation

Lindsey, a vet student, found a little motherless ginger cat on the side of the road in the summer of 2017. In critical condition, the kitten was brought to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

She was ill, unable to feed on her own, and on the verge of euthanasia. Lindsey, thankfully, chose to take the cat home with her and care for her. Smush was the name she gave the sad kitten.

At the foster house, Smush was provided medications for her upper respiratory infection. A month later, Smush grew stronger and began to eat on her own. Her upper respiratory infection was gone, and she was free from ringworm. The sweet kitty was recovering in foster care. She was healthy, playful and ready to find her forever home.

Fortunately, Shannon and Sarah, who live in Florida, applied to adơрt Smush. They saw the adorable cat on Facebook and thought she was meant to be theirs. Smush was welcomed into the family and is currently enjoying her new life with his loving family of three dogs, three cats, and a hedgehog.
