Nostradamus’s Prophecies about Israel Worries People Around the World

Renowned French prophet Nostradamus is said to have predicted the outbreak of the Third World War, in a major war that will take place in Israel. Many people believe that the words of the astrologer are coming true. What did he predict about the “City of God” and future events?

How accurate are Nostradamus’s prophecies?

Michel de Nostredame, now known as Nostradamus, died in 1566. He was a famous French astrologer who dabbled in various activities. He was a pharmacist, a physician, and a clairvoyant. His work, “Les Prophéties,” published in 1555, skyrocketed his popularity.

“Les Prophéties” is a collection of 942 poetic quatrains that supposedly predict future events on planet Earth. Nostradamus claimed to base his prophecies on astrological information but was heavily criticized for incompetence.

Research conducted on Nostradamus’s prophecies shows that a large part of “Les Prophéties” are paraphrases of ancient collections of end-of-the-world prophecies, primarily based on the Bible, supplemented with various references to projected historical events.

What did the French astrologer predict about Israel?

Nostradamus spoke of a Third World War in his quatrains, associated with a conflict that will erupt in the “City of God.” At present, as Israel is under attack from the Islamist group Hamas, many have claimed that the words of the French astrologer are coming true.

Analyzing the historical context of Nostradamus’s time, we find that the “City of God” refers to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. The French prophet noted that a conflict will take place in this city, after which a great leader will surrender, thereby triggering the Third World War:
